Day 1–2
Arrive Kota Kinabalu
Fly in and settle into a family hotel on the coast, with a pool afternoon to recover.
Day 3
Tunku Abdul Rahman islands
A boat day to the marine park islands for snorkelling and beach time.
Day 4
Fly to Sandakan
Short flight east to Sandakan, gateway to the wildlife.
Day 5
Sepilok orangutans
Feeding time at the sanctuary, plus the sun bear conservation centre next door.
Day 6–7
Kinabatangan river
Two days of dawn and dusk river cruises looking for proboscis monkeys, crocs and hornbills.
Day 8
Return to KK
Fly back to Kota Kinabalu.
Day 9
Kinabalu Park
A day in the mountain park — canopy walk, hot springs and cool highland air.
Day 10–12
KK at leisure
Markets, beaches and downtime before the flight home.

Depart
